Social and economic research
Under the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality, the social and economic state-level investment project team has completed or provided funding for social and economic research for NRM decision making.
SE03 state-level investment project
The SE03 SIP devolved funding to regional bodies to explore the social dimensions of NRM through partnerships with research institutions.
A social research symposium, held in April 2006, provided an opportunity for the research partnerships funded under SE03 to share their findings with other regional bodies, RD&E providers and interested stakeholders. The key findings and their implication on the business of regional bodies were made available in late 2006.

SE04 state-level investment project
Under the SE04 SIP, researchers studied the current approaches used to achieve RD&E in regional NRM, and identified issues that act as barriers and enablers to collaborative efforts.
This project has been completed; milestone documents will be available soon.
SE05 state-level investment project
The SE05 SIP provided funds to regional bodies to research economic incentives in partnership with researchers and the Department of Natural Resources and Water.
