Innovations fund for designing, implementing and monitoring incentives
The innovations fund supports research on economic incentives within a working partnership between regional NRM bodies, researcher/s and the Department of Natural Resources and Water.
Funding was provided for:
- detailed design of incentive mechanisms.
- communication and liaison with incentive target stakeholders.
- legal advice and contract design.
- operation components of monitoring.
- detailed incentive program evaluation including expert input, surveying participants, analysis of effectiveness and compliance.
The SE05 state-level investment project team developed a monitoring and evaluation framework for all projects and supports the regional NRM bodies in the application of this framework. The team ensures that all learnings from the projects can be collated and used to inform future incentives programs.
All seven NAP-funded regional NRM bodies successfully obtained funding under the project.
