National Landcare Program
The NLP is an Australian Government program that provides funding towards the sustainable management and use of natural resources, and the Landcare movement.
More than $40 million is available in 2005-06 for NLP investments. A further $80 million will be available for 2006-07 and 2007-08.
The NLP has two components:
- a Community Support component which invests in community and industry Landcare activities that address the priorities identified in regional NRM plans and investment strategies
- a National component that funds projects with broad scale or cross-regional outcomes.
How can my group apply for funding?
Community NRM groups can apply for NLP funding directly from their regional NRM body. Applications must feature on-ground activities that address the priorities outlined in the regional NRM plans and investment strategies.
For more information on the NLP and how to apply for funding, visit the Australia Government NLP website.
