The National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality (NAPSWQ) program has now been replaced by the federal Caring for our Country initative and the Queensland Q2 Coasts and Country program.
History of the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality
The National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality Bilateral Agreement (PDF, 165 kB)* was signed by the Queensland and Australian Governments on 1 March 2002.
The agreement tackled two major natural resource management problems affecting Australia's rural industries, regional communities and the environment.
