Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999
The main purposes of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 is to promote a partnership approach with state governments, land managers and communities.
The act aims to strengthen intergovernmental cooperation on environmental protection (particularly matters of national environmental significance) and biodiversity conservation, and enhance the protection, conservation and presentation of world heritage areas.
Natural Resources Management (Financial Assistance) Act 1992
The main purpose of the Natural Resources Management (Financial Assistance) Act 1992 is to facilitate the development and implementation of integrated approaches to efficient, sustainable and equitable natural resources management in Australia.
This Act also promotes community, industry and government partnerships in the management of natural resources, assists in enhancing the long-term productivity of natural resources, and assists in establishing institutional arrangements to develop and implement policies, programs and practices that encourage the sustainable use of natural resources.
