Regional natural resource management

Get involved

There are many ways to get involved in regional natural resource management. Regional NRM depends on local people and local communities getting involved, as volunteers, paid workers or participants. Volunteering is a great way to meet like-minded people, contribute to the community and make sure things get done in your local area.

Landholders

Landholders play a vital role in managing our natural resources. Landholders can get involved in NRM by joining a local community NRM group, like Landcare, joining an industry association or applying directly for funding for a project that will protect or restore the natural resources of their property.

Working in NRM

There is a range of exciting career opportunities in the field of natural resource management. Many NRM jobs are based in regional Queensland. See the Education and Careers section of this web site for more information.

If so, let us know about it and we’ll provide you with information or put you in contact with the appropriate organisation that can help bring your idea into reality. Simply email your idea to us and we’ll do the rest.
