Natural resource management incentives database
The Natural resource management incentives database provides encouragement to Queensland landholders, community groups and regional bodies undertaking natural resource management activities.
The incentives are offered by:
- local councils
- regional natural resource management bodies
- state government departments and agencies
- Australian Government.
Incentives include:
- grants from Envirofund
- tax deductions for landcare activities
- loans for landcare
- free tree programs
- Vegetation Incentives Program.
Searching the database
The database can be searched by:
- activity (e.g. nature conservation, fencing, pest animal and plant control, awareness raising)
- incentive program (e.g. Envirofund, Land for Wildlife, rate discounts)
- incentive provider (e.g. select from list of shires or city councils provided)
- geographic area by list or interactive map.
The search can be refined by using a combination of these terms.

The team, in collaboration with the Knowledge for Regional NRM Programme, is investigating the database's expansion to include incentives offered by other state and local jurisdictions.
The database is a component of the NRM Toolbar. The NRM Toolbar is an initiative of the Knowledge for Regional NRM Programme, Land and Water Australia.
