Natural Resources Awareness Grants 2012
2012 recipients announced
The successful applicants of the Natural Resources Awareness Grants for 2012 have been announced. More than $100,000 has been allocated to 19 community projects to help promote the importance of natural resource management.
The grants will help community groups involved in natural resource management to strengthen the community's awareness of, and involvement in, the sustainable management of Queensland's natural resources. Projects will be showcased on World Environment Day on Tuesday 5 June 2012.
The 2012 grant theme is ‘Building resilient landscapes.’

Activities eligible for these grants addressed the theme of ‘Building resilient landscapes,’ demonstrated the value of our natural resources, and encouraged more people to become involved in their protection.
Grants of up to $5000 were considered for community groups, and grants of up to $10,000 were considered for collaborative projects involving two or more organisations.
Projects must be completed on or around World Environment Day on Tuesday 5 June 2012, and project reports submitted to the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines by 6 July 2012.
Applications for the 2012 grants closed on 18 November 2011. Should these grants be offered again in the future, details will be made available via this website.
