The theme for this year's grants program is Bridging our Communities-Water for Life and was influenced by the United Nations' declaration of the International Decade of Water from 2005-2015. Groups applying for the Grants were asked to center their projects around this theme, allowing them to concentrate on water concerns and activities in their communities and to increase people's understanding of the urgent need to use water more efficiently. The projects will be conducted by the end May this year, with the majority occurring during Queensland Resources Week from 22-29 May.
For more information on the grants, contact the grants coordinator on 3239 3860.
